Inlay-Onlay Fillings

What are Inlay-Onlay fillings?
They are aesthetic indirect restorations that are applied to the teeth that have lost a lot of tissue and cannot be restored with direct restorations, support the tooth to protect the integrity against the chewing forces. These restorations can be produced from porcelain or composite material. In this treatment method, it can be said that it is a good alternative to porcelain coating treatment since very little tooth tissue is removed during the preparation of the tooth for restoration.
In which cases is it preferred?
  • In the restoration of large mounds of minor molars and molars,
  • For canal-treated teeth with excessive substance loss and increased fragility,
  • In the restoration of worn teeth as a result of abnormal functions such as bruxism,
