What is Orthodontics?
Orthodontics is a dentistry field that diagnoses the position impairment and facial asymmetries of the teeth, take measures to prevent and treat them. Orthodontic problems can occur due to genetic or acquired (finger sucking, premature loss of teeth, etc.) reasons and must be treated by orthodontists. For the early diagnosis of orthodontic problems, it is recommended that the first visit to the orthodontist should be when the child is 7 years old.
As a result of teeth misalignment and alignment outside the ideal;
- Aesthetic problems arise,
- The risk of cavities and gingival problems increases in teeth which not cleaned sufficiently.
- The chewing becomes imbalanced,
- Joint problems may arise,
- Abnormal damage on the teeth observed.
Can it be applied at any age?
Orthodontic treatment is a treatment that can be applied at any age. There is no age restriction.
